Margaret C. Henneke

Margaret C. Henneke, 94, of Osgood passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at St. Andrew's Health Campus in Batesville. She was born at Winchester on September 1, 1914 the daughter of Orval and Audra Rea Carroll. She was married to Dallas Henneke on October 1, 1938 and he preceded her in death on August 28, 2003. Survivors include one son Carroll (Josie) Henneke of Indianapolis; one daughter Audra (Butch) Gilmer also of Indianapolis; two granddaughters Shannon Milam of Carmel and Stacy Malone of Lakewood, Colorado; four great-grandchildren Cameron and Riley Milam and Jackson and Grace Malone; one brother Rea (Henrietta) Carroll of Osgood. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Mabel Barth and Jean Chalk. Mrs. Henneke was a 1931 graduate of Osgood High School. She was a former bookkeeper for the Ripley County Farm Bureau and had been employed with the Osgood Journal and the Ripley County Bank. She had also assisted her husband in operating the State Farm Insurance Agency in Osgood. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13 at 12pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in the Tanglewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Tanglewood Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
