Margaret Orman

**Margaret Orman**, 67, of Rising Sun, formerly of Versailles, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born in Lafayette on March 7, 1942, the daughter of Charles and Beulah McIntire Ruch. She was married to Ray Orman on June 20, 1962, and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2004. Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Hensley and her husband Jody of Rising Sun and Greta Glotzbach and her husband Kelly of Mitchell; 6 grandchildren and one great-grandson; one brother Chuck (Trudy) Ruch of Peoria, Illinois; two sisters Nancy Lakin and Sue (Jerry) Ray both of Bedford. Mrs. Orman was a 1960 graduate of Shawswick High School in Lawrence County and received her BA degree from Purdue University. She had done sub-teaching at Jac-Cen-Del and South Ripley. In 1981 she became a loan specialist and supervisor for the FHA, retiring in 2003. She was a member of the Indiana Shorthorn Association and Shorthorn Lassies, and was a long-time leader with the Hassmer Hilltoppers 4-H club. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 18 at 1pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Bobby Brook officiating. Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery near Versailles. Visitation will be Monday from 11am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Indiana 4-H Foundation or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
