Margaret Reese

Margaret Reese, 87, of Indianapolis passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the Rosegate Village in Indianapolis. She was born at Vernon on July 12, 1922 the daughter of John and Nancy Bowerly. She was married to Herschel Reese on December 11, 1941 and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2002. Survivors include two daughters Marcia Alford and Cindy (Richard) Day both of Indianapolis; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; one sister Edna Boyd of Indianapolis. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her son Robert Reese. Mrs. Reese was a 1940 graduate of Vernon High School. She was retired from University Heights Hospital in Indianapolis where she worked as a ward secretary. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 9 from 10am to 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with graveside services following at the Holton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Hospice in care of the funeral home.
