Marie Roberts

Marie Roberts, 85, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Napoleon, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2004 at the Reid Hospital in Richmond. She was born in Concord, Kentucky on May 1, 1919 the daughter of Albert and Fannie Mae Craig Doyle. She was married to Malcolm Roberts in 1938 and he survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Sandy Smith of Phoenix; one son Donald Roberts of Napoleon; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alvin Doyle and his wife Verena of Connersville, Walter Doyle and Jean of Connersville; two sisters, Ruth Shepherd and her husband Lawrence of Connersville and Hazel Comer and Norman of Greensburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Sharon Hutto, her sister Thelma Doyle and her brother Lawrence Doyle and one great grandchild. Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13 at 2pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Rand Hooton officiating. Visitation will be from 1pm until time of services. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery at Elrod. Memorials may be given to the Washington Cemetery or the Versailles Baptist Church.
