Marty Mitchell

Marty Mitchell, 49, of West Harrison, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Indianapolis on February 9, 1954, the son of Bert and Mary Anderson Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a brick layer with Local 18 of Cincinnati and was a member of the Sunman Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his mother, Mary Mitchell of Moores Hill, one son, Troy Mitchell and his wife Lydia of Kissimmee, Florida, daughters Annette Gregory of Bright and Heather Mitchell of Harrison; five grandchildren, six brothers, Bud Mitchell of Elgin, SC, Lonnie Mitchell of Lawrenceburg, Victor Mitchell of Zephyr Hills, Florida, Nolan Mitchell of Inverness, Florida, Edward Mitchell of Rising Sun, and Sgt. Jesse Mitchell serving in the armed forces in Italy; four sisters, Joyce West and LaMona West both of Osgood, Judy Hargrove of Tacoma, Washington, and Janine Fry of Moores Hill. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his father and his brother Clinton. Visitation will be Monday, May 12 from 5pm to 8pm (EST) at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 13 at 11am in the funeral home with Rev. David Childress of the Milan Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial will be in the Greendale Cemetery at Osgood. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Milan Wesleyan Church.
