Mary Elizabeth Bray

Mary Elizabeth Bray, 90, of Indianapolis passed away at 3am Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born at New Marion on March 13, 1925 the daughter of Charles and Creola Swinney Ketzendorf. She was married to William Bray on June 1, 1947 and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1966. She is survived by her daughter Creola Bray of Indianapolis. She was also preceded in death by her brother Ernest Ketzendorf and her sister Viola Ruth Smiley. Mrs. Bray was a 1943 graduate of New Marion High School and was a former employee of International Harvester in Indianapolis. She retired in 1989 after 24 years as a custodian for Pike High School in Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Holton Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
