Mary L. Gabbard

Mary L. Gabbard, 88, of Osgood passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Shady Nook Health Care Center in Lawrenceburg. She was born at Greendale on January 19, 1926 the daughter of Holman and Edna Wilson Steinmetz. Survivors include one son Michael (Stephanie) Gabbard of San Diego, California; three daughters Vickie (Kenneth) Kasserman of Versailles, Suzanne (Paul) Cox of Orlando, Florida, and Debbie Simon of Lawrenceburg; 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Virginia Miller. Mrs. Gabbard was a 1944 graduate of Lawrenceburg High School. Mary worked for 30 years as a medical aide at the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center at Butlerville, retiring in 1985. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Cliff Hill Cemetery in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home, Versailles.
