Mary E. Kelly

Mary E. Kelly, 91, of Versailles, formerly of Elrod, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at the Jennings Health Care Center in North Vernon. She was born at Allensville in Switzerland County on September 8, 1913, the daughter of Val Fred Myers and Ollie Fancher Myers. She was married to Myron Kelly on March 28, 1942, and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1997. Survivors include one son, Robert Kelly and his wife Glenda of Scipio; one grandson Brian Kelly of Scipio; one sister Pauline Richards of Vevay. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother George Wm. Myers; her sisters Elma Voris, Mildred Etherton, and Ruth Koons. Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Milan Furniture Factory and US Shoe. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Mark Walker officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 27 from 5pm to 7pm. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro. Memorials may be given to the Versailles Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
