Mary N. Lemarr

Mary N. Lemarr, 80, of Dabney passed away at 5:45 a.m., Monday, February 26, 2024 at her home. She was born at Haleysburg in Washington County, Indiana on August 28, 1943, the daughter of Howard and Mary Reynolds Harris. She was married to William Lemarr on September 8, 1961 and he preceded her in death on May 1, 2006. Survivors include three daughters, Judy (Gary) Williams of Holton, and Pamela White and Sherry Laswell both of Versailles; 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; one brother Ivan (Nina) Harris of Crothersville; one sister Janice Williams of Seymour. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Russell Harris and her sisters Juanita Woodlock and Jane Henderson. Mrs. Lemarr retired in 1992 from US Shoe in Osgood where she worked for 15 years as a cutter. She enjoyed playing bingo at different organizations, but especially enjoyed her many grandchildren and taking vacations with her daughters. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1 at 10 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Tim Osborne officiating. Burial will be in the Dabney Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Friday beginning at 10 a.m. Memorials may be given to the Dabney Cemetery or the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
