Mary Raffignone

Mary Raffignone, 78, of Elrod passed away Tuesday February 22, 2005 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. She was born at Faubush in Pulaski County, Kentucky on January 20, 1927 the daughter of Marvin and Lula Pittman Johnson. She was married to Lovell Lee Raffignone on June 24, 1950 and he survives. Other survivors include one son Ron Raffignone and his wife Denise of Waynetown; one daughter Kathy Craig of Elrod; grandchildren Lori Sullivan of Elrod, Jeremy Stevens of Michigan, and Mandy Raffignone of Waynetown; great-grandchildren Brandon, Christian, and Jacob. Mrs. Raffignone was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Earl, Bertram, and Arnold Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Washington Baptist Church at Elrod. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 25 at 11am at the Washington Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Fitzsimmons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 24 from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services Friday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Gideons in care of the funeral home.
