Mary Jo Raney

Mary Jo Raney, 79, of Versailles passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born at Lake Guega, Ohio on May 23, 1930 the daughter of Louis Carter and Lula Faye Kinney Everett. Survivors include one son Mike (Bonnie) Raney of Versailles; one daughter Diana Clark of Arizona; 2 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren; three sisters Nancy Thurston of Las Cruses, New Mexico, Lydia Cox of Lafayette, and Sharon Hostetler of Moores Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Bud and Louis Everett, Jr., and her sisters Carol Schuknect and Betty Tryon. Mrs. Raney was retired from the Indiana State Police in Versailles where she had worked as a secretary and she was a member of the Hanover Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Garden at Madison. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
