Mary Faye Thompson

Mary Faye Thompson, 77, of Versailles passed away Friday November 15 at her residence. She was born at Barboursville, Kentucky on January 31, 1925, the daughter of Daniel and Alice Davis Payne. She was married to Elmer M. Thompson and he preceded her in death in 1966. Survivors include her daughter Diane Cannon of Versailles, grandsons Craig Thompson and Michael Thompson both of Dallas, Texas; sisters Gladys Witwer of Versailles, Connie Tunny of Osgood, and Opal White of Long Beach, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Ronald Dock Thompson, and her brother William Payne. Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of Texas Womens University and a retired nursing supervisor. She was also an accomplished musician and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Morris. Funeral services will be Tuesday November 19 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Father Bernard Schmitz officiating. Burial in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Morris. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
