Matilda "Tilly" Granger, 79, of Osgood passed away Sunday, May 23, 2004 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Osgood on October 6, 1924 the daughter of James and Emma Hoover Corson. She was married to Lawrence Granger on December 27, 1947 and he survives. Other survivors include four sons, Dennis Granger and his wife Lisa of Greensburg, Kenny Granger and Janet of Indianapolis, Rick Granger and Kathy of Ft. Wayne, and Jack Granger of Milan; one daughter, Kathy Hansen and her husband Kevin of Deputy; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Granger was a lifelong resident of Osgood and was a member of the Osgood United Methodist Church. She had served as an EMT with Rescue 69 for 13 years. She had also served as a den mother with Cub Scout pack 38 in Osgood and had volunteered at Buckeye Village in Osgood. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 11am at the Osgood United Methodist Church with Rev. Rob Rixman, Rev. Wm. Hoopes, and Rev. Gatha Eha officiating. Visitation will be from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Osgood United Methodist Church. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home of Versailles is in charge of arrangements.
