Mayme Renfro, 92, of Holton passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at her home. She was born at Manchester, Kentucky on August 7, 1919 the daughter of Robert and Lizzie Keith Sizemore. She was married to Walter Renfro on December 9, 1939 and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2005. Survivors include two sons Walter (Linda) Renfro, Jr. of Holton and Fred (Jeanie) Renfro of Rising Sun; three daughters Myrtle (Earl) Moberly of Holton, Donna (David) Hamilton of Rexville, and Joyce (Keith) Scott of New Marion; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; one brother Woodie (June) Sizemore of Versailles; one sister Shirley Keeton of Versailles. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Craft, John, Vernon, and Frank Sizemore and her sisters Myrtle Lainhart, Allie Hacker, Martha Scott, Vergie Baker, Esther Baker, and Jeanette Druschel. Mrs. Renfro was a former Avon sales representative and had worked at the Holton Creamery. She and her husband Walter had spent their winters in St. Cloud, Florida for 40 years. Mayme attended the Shelby Christian Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 17th at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home with Randy Thieman of the Shelby Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the Shelby Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
