Mildred Andress, 90, of Versailles
passed away Saturday, July 30, 2005 at Ripley
Crossing in Milan. She was born in the St. Magdalene community near New Marion
on August 1, 1914 the daughter of Matthew and Stella Daffin Stark. She was
married to Cecil Andress on October 10, 1931 and he preceded her in death on May
14, 1994. Survivors include one son Larry G. Andress and his wife Rita of
Madison; one daughter LaVerne Day and her husband Dale of Versailles; seven
grandchildren, Brandon Andress and his wife Jenny of Columbus, Kasey Felts and
her husband Dan of Madison, Whiteny Ulm and Josh of Middleport, Ohio, Debra
Stephen and J.R., Dawna Mathews and Keith, Dana Vest and James, and Danita
Rogers and Bryant all of Versailles; + 17 great-grandchildren, and seven
great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her
parents and her daughter Judy Kay Andress. Mrs. Andress was a homemaker and she
and her husband had spent most of their married life on a farm near New Marion.
She was a faithful member of the Versailles Church of Christ. Funeral services
will be held Wednesday, August 3
at 10:30am at the Versailles
Church of Christ with Dale Day officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill
Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2
from
5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may
be given to the Versailles Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
