Mildred O. Baugh, 84, of Osgood, formerly of Holton passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born near Osgood on May 5, 1927 the daughter of Lester and Flora Johnson Brown. She was married to Cecil Baugh on September 10, 1946 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2004. Survivors include one son Lester (Ellen) Baugh of Seymour; four daughters Gia (Vern) Spoor of Worthington, Sonja (Bert) Samples of Rexville, Ginger (Bill) Bradford of Versailles, and Shawna (Rick) Bushhorn of Osgood; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister Grace Bateman. Mrs. Baugh was a 1945 graduate of Osgood High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Osgood. She was a homemaker and worked for 9 years as a cook at the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. She had also served as deputy when her father occupied the Ripley County Treasurer's office. Mildred and Cecil worked flea markets at Gnaw Bone, Indiana for several years. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30th at 1pm at the First Baptist Church in Osgood with Rev. Don Buck officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Garden near Madison. Visitation will be Sunday from 3pm to 7pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 12pm until time of services Monday at the church. Memorials may be given to the activities fund at the Manderley Health Care Center, Hospice of Margaret Mary Community Hospital, or the church in care of the funeral home.
