Mildred Gray

Mildred Gray, 97, of Madison passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Waters of Clifty Falls at Madison. She was born at Canaan on August 21, 1912 the daughter of Carl and Inez Leathurbury Etherton. She was married to Earl Gray in 1933 and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1992. Survivors include two sons Keith (Betty) Gray of Madison and Rick (Mary) Gray of Canaan; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son Ralph, her brothers Earl and Dale Etherton, and her sisters Marjorie Etherton, Ruby Schaefer, and Neva Sedam. Mrs. Gray was a 1930 graduate of North Madison High School and was a member of the Manville Christian Church. She was a former employee of Mayers in Madison and worked in food service at Reliance Electric. Funeral services will be held Friday, June at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Bro. George Severn of the Manville Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be Friday from 10am until time of services.
