Mildred Rork

Mildred Rork, 82, of Versailles, formerly of Osgood, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. She was born at North Vernon on October 1, 1925 the daughter of Adolphus and Lydia Murphy Nealis. She was married to Jesse Rork on August 15, 1942 and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1986. Survivors include two sons, Gene (Judy) Rork of Versailles and Rick (Suzanne) Rork of Litchfield, Illinois; one daughter Rachel Mink of Fresno, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter Carolyn Jean Rork, granddaughter Michelle Richter, her sister Frances Brooks, and her brother Harold Nealis. Mrs. Rork was a homemaker and enjoyed IU basketball. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Dale Day officiating. Burial will be in the Greendale Cemetery in Osgood. Visitation will be Friday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to Rescue 69 in care of the funeral home.
