Myrtle S. Lainhart

Myrtle S. Lainhart, 88, of Holton passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 at the Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She was born at Manchester, Kentucky on April 6, 1918 the daughter of Robert and Lizzie Keith Sizemore. She was married to Edwin Tad Lainhart on February 3, 1940 and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2006. Survivors include one son, Edwin Tad Lainhart, Jr. and his wife Sherrie of Erlanger, Kentucky; one daughter, Patti Jo Hunyadi and her husband Mike of New Paris, Ohio; grandchildren Billy Lainhart of Falsofrough, Kentucky, Sharon Beth Schatzman and T.J. Lainhart both of Erlanger, Vanessa DeBoo of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Amanda Hunyadi of Franklin; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; one brother Woodie Sizemore of Versailles; three sisters, Mayme Renfro of Holton, Martha Scott of Virginia, and Shirley Keeton of Versailles. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Craft, Frank, Vernon, and John Sizemore, sisters Vergie Baker, Esther Baker, Jeanette Druschel, and Allie Hacker. Mrs. Lainhart attended the Hiway Holiness Pentecostal Church at North Vernon. She was a retired beautician having operated a beauty shop in Holton for 30 years. She also operated Myrtle's Antiques at Holton which is now M& B Antiques. She enjoyed gardening, antiques, and quilting. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22 at 11am at the Hiway Holiness Pentecostal Church at North Vernon. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3pm to 6pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Holton Cemetery or Trinity Broadcasting's Smile of a Child in care of the funeral home.
