Nancy Michael

Nancy Michael, 63, of Batesville, formerly of Versailles, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. She was born at Evansville on January 7, 1944 the daughter of William Harlan and Eva June Hammon Michael. Survivors include one sister, Virginia Holmgren of Lake Placid, Florida; three brothers, William Michael of Modesto, California, John Michael of San Marino, California, and Dr. Fred Michael of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Tom Michael. Ms. Michael was a published poet. She had worked for the Sherman House, McDonald's, and Wendy's, all in Batesville. She attended the New Hope Day Program at Batesville. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 24 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. David Shivers of the Hopewell Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Holton Cemetery.
