Naomi E. Palmer, 87, of Versailles passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at her daughter's home in Madison. She was born at Marble Corner on March 8, 1918 the daughter of Jesse and Eliza McDaniel Thomas. Naomi Palmer is survived by three sons; Leroy and Sue Palmer of North Vernon, Harry and Sally Palmer of North Vernon and Paul Palmer of Indianapolis, two daughters; Vadah Hodge of Madison, and Pauline Rogers of Versailles. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren, one brother; Edis Thomas of Indianapolis, two sisters; Martha Thomas of North Vernon and Esther Armstrong of Speedway. She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, five brothers and three sisters. Ms. Palmer was a member of the Concord Wesleyan Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 3, 2006 at 1pm at Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Mahoney and Rev. Jerry Vandervoght officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm until 8pm Thursday March 2, 2006. Burial will be in the Marble Corner Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Donor's Choice. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles is in charge of the arrangements.
