**Norma Lee Hill**, 79, of Versailles passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born near Correct on October 13, 1929 the daughter of Clarence and Beulah Warfield Underwood. She was married to William D. Hill on June 17, 1950 and he survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Bartlow of Batesville and Christy Grossman of Versailles; six grandchildren Courtney (Brian) Hostetler of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Chris Bartlow of Westfield, Jordan Grossman of Casper, Wyoming, Joshua Grossman of Greensburg, and Jared and Jonathan Grossman of Versailles; one brother Robert (Marge) Underwood of Correct. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law Ed Bartlow. Mrs. Hill was a 1947 graduate of Versailles High School. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, pie baking, and fishing. She was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church, the Versailles American Legion Auxiliary, the 8 & 40, Delta-Rho Chapter of Tri-Kappa, and the Correct Homemakers. She had been employed with the Southeastern Indiana REMC and had worked in the Ripley County Treasurer's office. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11am at the Versailles Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Visitation will be Sunday from 1pm to 4pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services Monday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Cliff Hill Cemetery or the Versailles American Legion Auxiliary in care of the funeral home.
