**Norman L. McIntosh**, 74, of Versailles passed away Friday, March 17, 2006 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. He was born at Cincinnati on November 11, 1931 the son of Alfred and Eliza Sandlin McIntosh. He was married to Frances Beebee on March 30, 1952 and she survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Brenda Armbrecht and her husband Larry of Versailles; granddaughters Karen Cole and her husband Jim of Versailles, Stacey Armbrecht of Indianapolis, and Amy Armbrecht of Versailles; great-grandchildren Megan and Patrick Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers, and 4 sisters. Mr. McIntosh was a 1950 graduate of Versailles High School and was an Air Force veteran of Korea. He worked for Ripley Publishing in Versailles for 25 years and had worked for the Ripley County Bank in Osgood for 18 years. He had also worked part-time for the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles for the last 3 years. He was the score book keeper for the South Ripley boys varsity basketball team for 25 years and had kept book for the South Ripley girls varsity for the last 15 years. Mr. McIntosh had attended 51 consecutive Ripley County sectional basketball tournaments. He was a member of the Tyson United Methodist Church and the Versailles American Legion.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21 at 11 am at the Tyson United Methodist Church in Versailles with Rev. Michael Hendrix and Dale Day officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be Monday from 3pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Tyson United Methodist Church building fund or the Versailles American Legion.
