Patsy A. Asche, 64, of Versailles died Sunday January 12th at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born at Osgood on January 31, 1938 the daughter of William Hoover and Naomi Courtney Strimple and was married to Wayne Asche on September 7, 1957 and he survives. Other survivors include her mother Mrs. Naomi Strimple of Osgood, three brothers; Don Strimple and Wayne Strimple both of Versailles, and Rex Strimple of Holton; two sisters; Kay Wells of South Bend, and Mary Mosier of Osgood, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and two infant children. Mrs. Asche was a 1956 graduate of Osgood High School and had worked as a teller at the Ripley County Bank. She had also worked as a financial officer for the School of Home Economics for Purdue University, a financial secretary for the Hubbard Haven Home in New Carlisle, Indiana and also for the United Methodist Church in Kent, Ohio. She had also owned and operated a clothing store in New Carlisle, and was a substitute teacher. Mrs. Asche was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday January 15 at 11am at the Versailles Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Tanglewood Cemetery. Calling will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services at the church. Memorials may be given to the Diabetes foundation, Cancer fund, or the Tanglewood Cemetery.
