**Pearl Cox**, 77, of Holton
passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at her home. She was born near Dillsboro on December 20, 1929 the daughter of Elmer and Goldie Quire Thompson. She was married to Delmar Cox on November 18, 1950 and he survives. Other survivors include one son Doug Cox and his wife Myrna of Holton; grandson Chris Cox and friend Misty Haggard of Versailles, granddaughter Kassey Cox of Holton, and great-grandson Gabriel Cox of Versailles; one brother Charles Thompson of North Vernon. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother George Thompson. Mrs. Cox was a 1947 graduate of Holton High School and attended the Indianapolis School of Business. She was the longest living member of the Holton Christian Church and also was a 59 year member of the Holton and Versailles Eastern Star Chapters. She had also served as a District Deputy in the Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May at 11am at the Holton Christian Church with Rev. Bob McCreary officiating. Burial will be in the Holton West Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services Friday at the church. The Versailles Eastern Star will conduct services Thursday at 8pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Holton Christian Church or the Holton West Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
