Peggy L. Black, 82, of Osgood passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. She was born at North Vernon on August 30, 1931 the daughter of William and Mary Agnes Ledford Weber. She was married to Paul Edward Black on April 5, 1952 and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2001. Survivors include two sons Michael (Karen) Black and Larry (Susan) Black both of Osgood; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; one sister Linda Dilk of Osgood; also her brother-in-law William Heidorn of Lookout. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister Charlene Heidorn. Mrs. Black was a former employee of Seagrams and worked in wrapping and packing at Federal Mogul in Greensburg, retiring in 1996 after 31 years. Peggy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Osgood. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23 at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Mike Cantrell of the Versailles Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Visitation will be Sunday from 4pm to 7pm. Memorials may be given to the Cliff Hill Cemetery or the Osgood Volunteer Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
