Peggy Burford

Peggy Burford, 78, of Milan passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born in Cincinnati on August 12, 1934 the daughter of Rev. Lee and Rose Meeks Barenscheer. She was married to Charles Burford on April 12, 1953 and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2008. Survivors include one son Rick (Karen) Burford of Elrod; five daughters Barbara (Dennis) McLaughlin of Versailles, Judy Russell and Cheri (Jr.) Schutte both of Milan, Debbie (John) Eaglin of Elrod, and Amy (Scott) Stutler of Friendship; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; one brother Andy (Linda) Barenscheer of Milan. Mrs. Burford was a 1952 graduate of Taylor High School in Cleves, Ohio and was a homemaker. Peggy was a member of the Washington Baptist Church in Elrod. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15 at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Bro. Don Burford, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery at Elrod. Visitation will be Sunday from 3pm to 7pm. Memorials may be given to the Washington Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
