**Richard Lengerich**, 76, of Versailles passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born in Cincinnati on June 18, 1936 the son of William and Ruth Stewart Lengerich. He was married to Ruth Honnigford on October 4, 1958 and she preceded him in death on December 9, 2006. Survivors include his special friend Linda Tiechman of Versailles; four sons Richard (Rebecca) Lengerich of Cross Plains, Benjamin (Leanne), Patrick (Megan), and Derek Lengerich all of Versailles; nine daughters Cynthia (Bob) Calhoun of Pleasant, Jennifer (Curtis) Sturgeon of Friendship, Theresa (David) Meyer of Milan, Andrea (Lloyd) Meister of Napoleon, Michelle Franklin of Holton, Laurie (Tony) Wood of Versailles, Rebecca (Tom) Lovins of Dillsboro, Sandra (Scott) Mulford of Versailles, and Erin (Matt) Rutledge of Canaan; 36 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one brother Bernie (Deanna) Lengerich of Cincinnati; two sisters Dori Braun and Judy (Don) Eninger both of Cincinnati; brother-in-law Paul Thomas of Cincinnati; sister-in-law Judy Lengerich of New Marion. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his son Adam, his brother Bill Lengerich, and his sisters Jerri Thomas and Linda Lengerich. Mr. Lengerich was an Army veteran and had worked as a pipe fitter for Seagrams, retiring in 1991. Richard was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Osgood where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 15 at 10am at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Frank Eckstein and Father Shaun Whittington officiating. Burial will be in the Craven Cemetery at Milan. Visitation will be Sunday from 4pm to 8pm also at St. John's with Rosary services at 3:30pm. Memorials may be given to Horse Feathers Therapeutic Learning Center for children with special needs, a non-profit organization founded by Richard's daughter Jenny. Contributions can be made in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home.
