Robert L. "Buddy" Swafford

Robert L. "Buddy" Swafford, 57, of Versailles passed away at Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Indianapolis on December 25, 1960 the son of Robert and Willa Marie Lutz Swafford. Survivors include three sisters; Peggy (Sam) Richards of Milan, Robin Swafford of New Marion and Kathleen Walker of Greencastle, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard, and a sister Cindy Harbitt. Mr. Swafford was a familiar face around Versailles as he walked around to help his neighbors. Bob loved to hunt and fish, but his favorite pastime was cheering on the Indianapolis Colts. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 15 at 12(noon) at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Mike Cantrell officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 10am until the time of service. Memorials may be given to diabetes association or the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
