Robert H. Shaw

Robert H. Shaw, 68, of Moores Hill passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born in Holton on January 23, 1944 the son of Leslie and Ethel Mercer Shaw. He was married to Alice Elston on February 6, 1963 and she survives. Other survivors include one son Robert J. (Lori) Shaw of Moores Hill; one daughter Sheila (Mark) Washburn of New Point; 5 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, and 1 great-grandchild; one brother Donald (Doris) Shaw of Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Gene and David Roy Shaw. Mr. Shaw was a retired utility operator for Batesville Casket and was a former employee of Thompson Industries in North Vernon, US Shoe in Osgood, and Daniel and Hayden Electric in Columbus. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at 11am at the Otter Creek Cemetery in Nebraska. Visitation will be at 10am Wednesday at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
