Robert W. Stoever

Robert W. Stoever, 69, of Cross Plains passed away Sunday, June 6, 2004 at the Dillsboro Manor in Dillsboro. He was born near Friendship on October 16, 1934 the son of Donald and Bessie Montgomery Stoever. Mr. Stoever was a farmer and a veteran of the Korea era. He had made his home with Chester and Margaret Vogel and family near Cross Plains. Besides the Vogels, he is survived by his sister Rosemary Meredith of Cadiz, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at 2pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Sherman Hughes of the Bear Creek Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 1pm until time of services. Burial will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery near Olean with military graveside rites by the Versailles American Legion. Memorials may be given to the Dillsboro Manor in care of the funeral home.
