**Robert L. Williams**, 73, of Osgood passed away Friday, March 11, 2005 at his home. He was born at Morrow, Ohio on April 24, 1931 the son of Clem and Mary Blankenship Williams. He was married to Wanda Riddle on February 14, 1990 and she survives. Other survivors include one son Richard Williams and his wife Terri of Morningview, Kentucky; one daughter Jeanine Crandall and her husband Craig of Milan; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Hoot Williams and Clint Conway and his brothers Ted and Lester Williams.
Mr. Williams was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the 101 Airborne as a paratrooper. He was a retired truck driver having logged more than four million accident free miles over the course of 43 years. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, the Milan VFW and was a member of the Boone Union Masonic Lodge in Union, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 15 following Masonic services at 1pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. David Shivers of the Hopewell Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10am until time of services. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be given to the Hopewell building fund in care of the funeral home.
