Roberta M. Scott, 73 of Versailles passed away at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. She was born in Alexandria, Kentucky on February 25, 1952, the daughter of Jasper and Fayetta Miller Yeary. She was married to Kenneth Wayne Scott on July 24, 1975 and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2010. Survivors include one son Jerry Scott of Versailles; step-daughter Sandy (Grant) Brown of Olean; three brothers Junior Yeary of Covington, Kentucky, Michael (Patricia) Yeary of Walton, Kentucky, and Jonathan Yeary of Florence, Kentucky; three sisters Sarah (Mike) Moscoe of Crittenden, Kentucky, and Brenda Doctor and Barb Diallo both of Florence; sisters-in-law Vickie and Dar Yeary both of Florence. She was also preceded in death by her parents, step-daughter Susan Whitham, step-sons Kenneth and Randell Scott, and her brothers Gary, Timmy, and Sam Yeary. Mrs. Scott's working career spanned many years with employment at Madison Electronics, the Rolling Pin Bakery, and the Versailles State Park. Her last job was as an aid with the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. Roberta loved gardening, fishing, and her family. She became a second mother to her siblings after her father died at a young age, and Roberta quit school to assist her mother in raising her brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Andy Strout officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Tuesday beginning at 12 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Pleasant Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
