**Ronald Lee Jarvis**, 73, of Vevay passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at his residence.
He was born at Batesville on January 30, 1941 the son of Wilbur and Dora Little Jarvis. Survivors include one son Keith (Susan) Jarvis of Toledo, Ohio; two daughters Kellie (Brian) Jarvis Compton of Indianapolis, and Becky Jarvis (Shannon) Ogle of Westport; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; one sister Faye Jarvis Bradfield of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Helen Fuehrer.
Mr. Jarvis was a 1959 graduate of Versailles High School and had attended electronics training in Indianapolis. He worked for 32 years for IBM in Columbus as a service technician and field manager, retiring in 1992. Ron was an avid collector of Corvairs and participated in the Vevay Car Show. He also participated in a bowling league at Columbus, was an avid coin collector, enjoyed fishing, and his Honda motorcycle.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Friday, January 30 at 1pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Sister Shirley Gerth officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 11am until time of services.
Memorials may be given to the Switzerland County Humane Society or the Jefferson-Craig Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
