Ronnie G. Walcott, 57, of Milan passed away Sunday, August 29, 2004 at the Dillsboro Manor. He was born at Milan on May 17, 1947 the son of Floyd and Pearl Eaglin Walcott. He was married to Jean Cottingham on July 20, 1978 and she survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Wagner and her husband Aaron of Moores Hill, Denise Walcott of Milan, and Jill Bonar and her husband Greg of Milan; three grandchildren Lani, Jacob, and Daniel Bonar; one brother Jerry Walcott of Lawrenceburg; four sisters, Cosette Heine of Lawrenceburg, Rosalie Stevens of New Richmond, Ohio, Lois West of Indianapolis, and Marna Ross of Manchester. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dilver.
Mr. Walcott was a 1965 graduate of Milan High School and was an Army veteran of Vietnam. He retired from Seagrams in 2003 after 37 years and was a member of the Milan American Legion and the Ripley County Voiture 40 & 8.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 31 from 5pm to 8pm. Burial will be in the Craven Cemetery in Milan with military graveside rites by the Milan American Legion. Memorials may be given to Milan Rescue 30 in care of the funeral home.
