Roy G. Cordell

Roy G. Cordell, 77, of Versailles passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. Mr. Cordell was born in Dry Fork, Virginia the son of George and Lulu Cordell. He married Mary Pierce on July 21, 1987 and she survives. Other survivors include three children, Deborah (Myron) Pluskota of Spring Hill, Florida, Brian Cordell of Hamilton, Ohio, Pamela Sue (Steven) Bosslet of Richlands, Virginia and his step-children Maria (Albert) Sturgill of Versailles and Forest Huddleston of Milan, brother Don (Joan) Cordell, Sister Nell Cordell, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Sherry Lynn Honnerlaws. Roy was a former manager for Montgomery Ward and retired as a truck driver for Rapid Delivery in Cincinnati. He and his wife own and operate Four Paws Animal Boarding in Versailles. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17 at 12pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Mike Cantrell officiating. Visitation will be from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
