Roy M. Geisler, 67,
of Rexville
passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the
Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born near Rexville
on January 15, 1948 the son of Alva and Doris Faye Housefield
Geisler. Survivors include four brothers Elvan (Barbara)
Geisler and Bernard (Debbie) Geisler both of Rexville, Bobby
(Aggie) Geisler of Washington, and Marvin (Teresa) Geisler of
Vevay; one sister Nancy Simmons of Brookville; several nieces
and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers
Alvin Geisler and Leslie Geisler, his niece Carolyn Geisler,
and his nephews Kenny Geisler, Gene Wood, and Tom Simmons. Mr.
Geisler was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving with
Troop F of the 16 Calvary and received the Marksman Badge.
Roy was a member of the West Fork Baptist Church and the Madison American Legion.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 11
at 10:30am at the
West Fork Cemetery with Rev. Karen Reynolds officiating and
military graveside rites by the Versailles American Legion.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4pm to 7pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in
Versailles. Memorials may be given to the West Fork Baptist
Church or Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
