Roy (Rabbit) Hardebeck

Roy (Rabbit) Hardebeck, 85, of Osgood passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at the St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon. He was born near Osgood on December 1, 1920 the son of Albert and Clara Kelley Hardebeck. Survivors include one brother Leo Hardebeck of Napoleon; two sisters Ruth Cole of Holton and Diana Shelton of Norfolk, Arkansas along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Danny Lee Hardebeck and his sisters Hope Haredebeck, Colleen Elston, Vivian Sutton, and Jeanette Kluemper. Mr. Hardebeck was formerly employed with Schuerman Farms at Osgood and had been a logger with Ben Fangman in Osgood. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 26 at 2pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Visitation will be Monday from 1pm until time of services. Burial will be in the Greendale Cemetery at Osgood. Memorials may be given to the Holton Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
