Ruby Cutter, 89, of Friendship
passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Ripley Crossing in Milan. She was
born near Pleasant in Switzerland County on November 4, 1919 the daughter of
James and Anna Fry Herring. She was married to Floyd Cutter on April 20, 1940
and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1988. Other survivors include two
daughters, Shirley (Jerry) Smith of Milan and Judy (Gary) Stutler of Friendship;
5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
parents, and her brothers Garland, Roscoe, Howard, and Robert Herring, and her
sisters Hattie Gabler and Amy Herring. Mrs. Cutter was a 1937 graduate of Vevay
High School and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Olean. She was a
homemaker and enjoyed quilting and gardening. Funeral services will be held
Thursday, March 26
at 11am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Olean
with Pastor James Culver, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's
Cemetery at Olean. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm at the
Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of
services Thursday at the church. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
