Ruby E. Ellison

Ruby E. Ellison, 88, of Chipley, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at the Washington County Convalescent Center in Chipley. She was born near Pleasant in Switzerland County on June 24, 1917 the daughter of Elmer and Gladys Forwood Konkle. She was married to Russell Ellison in 1935 and he preceded her in death in 2000. Survivors include one son Elvan Ellison and his wife Jean of Chipley, Florida; one daughter Martha Ellison of St. Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren Mark Ellison and his wife Leslie of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Amy Weeks and her husband Joe of Chipley; three great-grandchildren, Ashley and Nathan Dunn and Alex Ellison. Mrs. Ellison was a homemaker and a member of the Sparta Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. M. Alice Crawford of the Rising Sun United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Marble Corner Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Rising Sun United Methodist Church organ fund in care of the funeral home.
