Ruby Strimple

Ruby Strimple, 90, of Versailles passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009 at St. Andrew's Health Campus in Batesville. She was born on September 26, 1919 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky the daughter of Willie and Sara McQueen Hammond. She was married to Earl Strimple on January 9, 1937 and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2009. Survivors include two daughters Sue (Terry) Boiman of Lakeside Park, Kentucky and Connie (Gary) Banks of Inverness, Florida; three grandchildren Emily (Chris) Jahr of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Zachary Banks of Inverness, Florida, and Ben Boiman of Lakeside Park, Kentucky, and six brothers and sisters. Mrs. Strimple along with her husband owned and operated the 421 Motel in Versailles. She was a member of the Tyson United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. James Byerly officiating. Burial will be in the Greendale Cemetery at Osgood. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Tyson United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
