Ruth Downey

Ruth Downey, 97, of Versailles, formerly of Milan passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born in Greensburg on December 22, 1916 the daughter of Ruby and Ella Martin Brown. She was married to Paul Downey and he preceded her in death in 1976. Mrs. Downey provided home health care for the elderly in her community. She was a member of the Versailles Eastern Star. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 3 at 11am at the Rising Sun Cemetery with Rev. Mike Cantrell of the Versailles Baptist Church officiating. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home, Versailles.
