**Ruth Lengerich**, 68, of Versailles
passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the
home of her daughter near Holton. She was born in Cincinnati on October 21, 1938
the daughter of Edward and Loraine Jacob Honnigford. She was married to Richard
Lengerich on October 4, 1958 and he survives. Other survivors include four sons,
Richard Lengerich and his wife Rebecca of Cross Plains, Benjamin and Leanne of
Canaan, Patrick and Megan of Versailles, and Derek Lengerich of Versailles; nine
daughters, Cynthia Calhoun and her husband Bob of Pleasant, Jennifer and Curtis
Sturgeon of Friendship, Theresa Haugh of Milan, Andrea and Lloyd Meister of
Napoleon, Michelle Franklin of Holton, Laurie and Tony Wood of Versailles,
Rebecca and Tom Lovins of Dillsboro, Sandra and Scott Mulford of Versailles,
Erin and Matt Rutledge of Canaan; 30
grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; one sister Elaine Distler of Loveland,
Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Adam, and her brother
Edward Honnigford. Mrs. Lengerich was a homemaker and a member of St. John's
Catholic Church in Osgood. She was an accomplished author having written the
books
With This Ring I Thee Wed, The Bakers Dozen,
and
Autumn
Serenade.
She also had written and directed several plays for her church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 13
10am at St. Johns in Osgood with Father Frank Eckstein officiating. Burial will
be in the Craven Cemetery in Milan. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm
at the church. Memorials may be given to Great Rewards in care of the
Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
