Selma R. Walsh, 91, of Holton
passed away Thursday August 4, 2005 at the
Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She was born at Holton on March 24,
1914 the daughter of Charles and Mayme Wright Stagg. She was married to Walter
Walsh and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1981. Survivors include one
son Dennis Walsh and his wife Bonnie and one daughter Janet Mack and her husband
Travis all of Holton; three grandchildren, Kevin Mack of Anderson, Rhonda Tunny
of Holton, and Terri Shelton of Pendleton; three great-grandchildren and two
great-great grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Madge McClure of Martinsville.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Ralph
Stagg and her grandson Scott Walsh. Mrs. Walsh was a 1932 graduate of Holton
High School and was a homemaker. She had previously been employed with
McNeelan's Hardware in Holton and had worked as an attendant at Muscatatuck
State Hospital. She had also worked as a Ripley County Deputy Auditor to her
husband who was serving as Ripley County Auditor. Mrs. Walsh was a member of the
Holton Christian Church and the Mother's Class. Funeral services will be held
Saturday, August 6
at 10:30am at the Holton Christian Church with
Rev. Robert McCreary officiating. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, August 5
from 5pm to 8pm at the
Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the
Holton Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
