Sharon L. Smith

Sharon L. Smith, 66, of Morristown, formerly of Versailles, passed away Sunday, July 6 at St. Vincents Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born near Versailles on November 23, 1936, the daughter of Casper (Jack) and Jennie Rocca Hankins. She was married to Leroy Smith on February 6, 1960 and he survives. She is also survived by two sisters, Penny Smith of Vincennes and Mary Greene of Uttica, Michigan and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Jack Hankins. Mrs. Smith was employed with Naval Avionics in Indianapolis for 37 years. She was a 1955 graduate of Versailles High School and was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 9 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Mark Walker of the Versailles Baptist Church officiating. Calling will be from 10am until time of services. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
