Shirley Irene Asche

**Shirley Irene Asche**, 89, of Greensburg passed away Friday, February 2, 2007 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. She was born near Butlerville on June 20, 1917 the daughter of Russell and Sarah Anna Perkins Estell. She was married to Herschel Asche and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1992. Survivors include one son, Larry Asche and his wife Millie of Anderson; two daughters, Linda Gibson and her husband Donahue of Westport and Janet Draping and her husband Gary of Greensburg; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 step great-grandchildren; one brother Joe Estell and his wife Mae of New Marion. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister Grace Kenens, and her brothers Arthur, Ray, and Edwin Estell. Mrs. Asche was a homemaker and a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Smyrna. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Ron Hasley officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Visitation will be Monday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the Cliff Hill Cemetery or St. Paul's Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
