Shirley A. Cook, 58, of Elrod passed away Thursday, May 6, 2004 at her residence. She was born in Cincinnati on November 28, 1945 the daughter of Clyde and Melissa Lawson Cole. She was married to Dan Cook on December 23, 1992 and he survives. Other survivors include two step-sons, Jason Cook and Tom Cook both of Cincinnati; one step-daughter Christy Waffle of Hamilton; three grandchildren Michael Cook, Britney and Codi Waffle; one step-sister Donna Hercamp and one step-brother Jerry Hercamp. She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Cole and her sister JoAnn Adkins. Mrs. Cook was a 25 year employee of Frischs of Lawrenceburg and was a member of the Washington Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 10 at 12pm at the Washington Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Fitzsimmons and Bro. Gary Ring officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until time of services at the church. Memorials may be given to the church. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home of Versailles is in charge of arrangements.
