**Stephen B. Westmeyer, 59, of Paris, Kentucky**
passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital on October 28, 1948 the son of Jesse and Josephine Curry Westmeyer. He was married to Ann Barkley on July 18, 1978 and she survives. Other survivors include one daughter Elizabeth Westmeyer of Paris; his mother Mrs. Josephine Westmeyer of Versailles; two brothers Jesse (Jane) Westmeyer of Versailles and David Westmeyer (Tulin) of Louisville. Mr. Westmeyer was a 1966 graduate of Versailles High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University. He owned and operated CS Claims Service in Lexington, Kentucky, an independent claims adjuster. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era.
Mr. Westmeyer was also a member of the Tyson United Methodist Church in Versailles, the Versailles American Legion, Lexington F&AM # 1, Henry Clay Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, was past president of the Blue Grass Claims Association, and was a board member of the Northern Kentucky Association of Insurance Professionals. Visitation will be held Friday, April 25 at 1pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with military honors by the Versailles American Legion being conducted at 3pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow on Saturday, April at the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Kentucky. Memorials may be given to the Jesse Westmeyer Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
