Thelma Kelly

Thelma Kelly, 80, of Holton passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She was born at Connersville on April 24, 1925 the daughter of Elbert and Vina Hensley Byrd. She was married to Cecil Kelly on May 19, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1981. Survivors include two sons, Ernest Kelly and his wife Ellen of Beaumont, California and Arthur Kelly of Indianapolis; two daughters, Carrol Taylor and her husband Willie and Sharon Rees and her husband Steven all of Holton; 11 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Burch of Booneville, Kentucky. Mrs. Kelly was a homemaker and had worked as a cook for the Osgood Grub Co. for 26 years. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April at 2pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in the Holton West Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4pm to 7pm. Memorials may be given to the Heart Fund or to Rescue 69 in care of the funeral home.
