Theresa Jane Adams

Theresa Jane Adams, 71, of Osgood passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born near Versailles on July 15, 1937 the daughter of Charles and Theresa Beach Kemker. She was married to Herschel Adams on August 14, 1960 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2004. Survivors include two sons, Kevin Adams of Concord, North Carolina and Alan Adams of Miami, Florida; one daughter Phyllis Holman of Seymour; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bine Kemker and Lloyd "Butch" Kemker both of Osgood; three sisters, Cody Holt of Versailles, Norma Suttman of Oldenburg, and Pat Morris of Moores Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lee, and her sisters Doris Smith and Daisy Linzy. Mrs. Adams was a 1956 graduate of Versailles High School. She was a former resident of Greenwood and was a homemaker. Her and her husband attended the Dabney Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 23 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in the Dabney Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
